Basics

• Provides managed file transfer service
• This supports transfering files to or from EFS and S3
• It provides managed servers that support various protocols
• It allows to upload & download files using protocols other than EFS(NFS) or S3
• It supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP, Applicability Statement2(AS2)
• Managed file transfer workflows(MFTW) can be configured. This is a serverless file workflow engine.
• Services endpoints can be configured as Public, VPC - Internet or VPC - Internal
• Public - Only supports SFTP. Endpoint has dynamic IP, no control over who can access
• VPC - Internet - SFTP, FTPS & AS2 are supported. Allocated Elastic IP which is static
• VPC - Internal - All 4 protocols are supported
• For both VPC modes static IP addresss are provided, access can be controlled with SG & NACL
• The product is Multi AZ , hence resilient & scalable
• Cost is for Provisioned Servr / Hour as well as Data Transfered
